Jugando a la Guerrita: Drawings and Prints by Fernando Andrade

An exhibition of drawings and prints by Fernando Andrade. The title, Jugando a la Guerrita, translates as Playing at the Little War, which is a reference to the so-called War on Drugs in Mexico and the U.S., often viewed more as a skirmish or 'Guerrita' rather than a true large-scale war to eradicate drugs.

Fernando's elegant drawings and prints portray a small boy (his brother), with a stick, held like a gun. Fernando, who grew up in Mexico, addresses in his works the way that the drug cartels and gangs have affected life in the border regions.
