Designing Your Own Writing Process with Jim LaVilla-Havelin

Whether you’re an absolute beginner or a writer who is stuck, sometimes the hardest part of writing is getting started. Open the doors of your writing practice. Move past prompts and writing exercises to a steady rhythm of working on writing that is your own. Design a personal process that will help you generate work beyond the class. Writers working in all genres are welcome.

    Tuesdays, Sept 16, 23, 30 and Oct 7, 2014 @ 6:30–8pm | $50 for 4 sessions

Jim LaVilla-Havelin is a poet, editor and educator. He recently retired as the Director of the Young Artist Programs at the Southwest School of Art, and is the author of four books of poetry. LaVilla-Havelin’s poems have appeared in The Texas Poetry Calendar (Dos Gatos Press), Between Heaven and Texas (University of Texas Press), and Diamonds Are Forever (Chronicle Books).
