Yanaguana Indian Arts Market
Presented by Briscoe Western Art Museum
October 4 - October 5, 2014
The Briscoe Western Art Museum celebrates the artistry of Native American cultures from across the country. Over twenty of the most-respected Native American artists showcase and sell their unique works of art including basketry, jewelry, carvings, ledger art, beadwork and pottery. Storytellers, dancers, and drummers as well as Native American-inspired food offer a glimpse into the unique traditions and cultures of Native America.
The Briscoe Museum’s Yanaguana Indian Art Market is named in honor of the San Antonio River’s earliest known name given by the Payaya people that inhabited this region.
