Local Organizing for the Rights of Mother Earth
Presented by Esperanza Peace and Justice Center at Esperanza Peace and Justice Center
September 26, 2014
As the next installment of our Rights of Mother Earth community school series, Esperanza Peace and Justice Center will screen the film Tierras Arraigadas/Rooted Lands, a short documentary about the New Mexico county of Hispanos which became the first in the US to ban fracking. Following this screening, we welcome Eleanor Bravo, the Southwest organizer for Food and Water Watch. Bravo will share insights from working with different communities to ban or restrict fracking.
Join us for a night of film and dialogue!
