H-E-B Performance Hall at The Tobin Center
Sebastian Lang-Lessing, conductor | Eric Gratz, violin

A Hero’s Life. Has Richard Strauss written about himself as the hero of this splendid work? As you bask in the glory of this triumphant piece, hear a parade of snippets from his other daring orchestral canvases and decide for yourself. And hear our own musical hero, Concertmaster Eric Gratz, whose natural authority and dramatically expressive sound bring to life the radiant voice of “The Hero’s Companion” in Strauss’s Ein Heldenleben.
