    210|West Gallery Talks: Convict Cowboys and the Texas Prison Rodeo

    210|West Gallery Talks are on the first Tuesday of each month and we invite an artist, scholar, or cultural tastemaker to explore a work of art or issue that is unique to the West.

    February 3, 2015: Convict Cowboys and the Texas Prison Rodeo

    Mitchel P. Roth, Ph.D., Historian and Criminologist at Sam Houston State University, chronicles the rise and fall of America’s first and most famous prison rodeo in Huntsville, TX.

    Gallery Talks begin at 6:30pm in the Museum Lobby. The Briscoe Museum remains open until 9:00pm on the first Tuesday of each month.
