Jim LaVilla-Havelin is a poet, editor, and educator. Recently retired as Director of the Young Artist Programs at the Southwest School of Art, LaVilla-Havelin is the author of four books of poetry. His most recent collection, Counting, was published by Pecan Grove Press in 2010.
