    Carver Youth Matinee: Rattletree Marimba

Rattletree Marimba is known for merging new sounds with the roots of ancient and organic African style marimbas. It is their passion and calling to make you dance. Composed of Austin’s finest percussionists, all of the musicians in the Rattletree family have been hand-selected and trained by Joel Laviolette, who has over 20 years experience teaching and performing traditional Zimbabwean music around the world. This will be a multi-sensory exploration of Zimbabwean music and culture. Rattletree’s high-energy, interactive show gets everyone dancing, learning about traditional instruments, clapping, singing-along, and asking questions. Recommended for all ages.
