CALLING ALL BOOKLOVERS AND HISTORY BUFFS! Join Briscoe Book Club members  to discuss "Black Indians," a historical account of the runaway slaves who joined America's Native Indian tribes and built communities that shaped the West's fur trade, frontier diplomacy, and the fight for American liberty. Our talk will be facilitated by Kevin Thomas, a direct descendent of the Seminole Tribe, at the SAPL library portal on the first floor of the museum.

Enjoy free parking downtown, free admission to the Briscoe Western Art Museum before and after book club, and our new Buffalo Soldiers exhibit in the SAPL library portal.  Our book club meets once a month to discuss awesome books (not just Westerns). Check out our website or Facebook page for a schedule of upcoming titles, speakers, and events.
