Pageant Wounds & Accessories of Modern Men

Kallie Pfeiffer's MFA Thesis Exhibition, Pageant Wounds, explores the conscious bond between viewer and artwork. Pfeiffer's large-scale photographic installations hold deep roots in Surrealism, the decadent excess of vanitas still life, and Baroque performance. She delves into the transience of life, the phenomenon of contingency, and the delicacy of human connection.

Justin Korver's Thesis Exhibition at Terminal 136 Accessories of Modern Men examines the postmodern evaluation of the art object, modernism, and masculinity in the contemporary American Context. Korver wants to re-evaluate what is the objectified, modern, manly object and how it can be used complete the clause structure of the predicate masculine. What are the objects of male action? How can the modern be amended? How are objects, history, and the Self constructed? These are the questions that animate Korver's work.
