    Noche Azul: Tango

Join the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center for our monthly multi-media concert experience with Azul Barrientos on May 21, 2016. This month's Noche Azul will feature Tangos.

Tango is a musical fusion of communities and culture that has evolved from being a banned vulgar expression of the lower class immigrants to a cultural heritage of the world. Argentinean musicologists have traced its roots to African essences.

The evolution and forms of tango include: Tango Criollo, Tango Canción, Tango de Orquesta, Tango La Nueva Guardia, Nuevo Tango, Queer Tango, etc.

Azul will be accompanied by Aaron Prado, George Prado and Nina Rodriguez.
