The Winds and Words of War: World  War I Posters & Prints Exhibit

As we approach the 2018 Centennial anniversary of World War I, Bexar County will be reliving a part of America's history by displaying the exhibit "The Winds and Words of War."

This significant time capsule of posters and prints from the San Antonio Public Library's Texana Collection, tells a story of our past through iconic images that were created to inspire and generate emotional and patriotic reactions to help support America's war effort alongside our allies against the enemy of the time.

An exhibit showcasing 40 vintage World War I (1917-1918) posters will be on display in the Historic Bexar County Courthouse, First floor public corridor.

The exhibit is sponsored by a three-year grant to the San Antonio Public Library Foundation through Bexar County Commissioners Court.
