    Asian American and Pacific Island Heritage Day

    Celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders through vibrant performances, lectures and family activities in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

     

    Guest Kuniko Kondo will teach origami – the Japanese art of paper folding to create decorative and useful items. The day’s activities also include demonstrations from Garimot Arnis, a local training group for Filipino martial arts; and a performance from the Hawaiian community’s Hula Halau Ohana Elikapeka.
