It all started with a vision of bringing music to the children of the inner-city of San Antonio, of uniting them through song, and of providing them the opportunity to work together toward a common goal. Marguerite McCormick, the founder of the Children’s Chorus of San Antonio, collaborated 10 years ago with Sister Madeline Pape, CDP and former vocal instructor at OLLU, and Irma Taute, staff member of the CCSA in order to make their vision a reality. Each strove to make singing outside of school more accessible to children of the lower-income communities of San Antonio. Collapse
