I am a painter living and working in San Antonio for the last decade. I have three kids. I exhibit my work frequently but not often enough in San Antonio. I love the San Antonio River.
Artist Style: Teaching Artist/Instructor; Visual Art: Abstract, Assemblage, Collage, Conceptual, Contemporary, Decorative/Ornamental, Documentary, Dream Imagery/Ethereal, Environmental, Experimental, Expressionistic, Figurative, Focus on Color/Light/Movement, Functional, Impressionistic, Interactive, Landscape/Cityscape, Narrative/Historical, Nature/Wildlife, Political, Portraiture, Representational, Sacred/Liturgical Art, Still Life
My work is primarily painting, always experimental and always about my relationships. The scale and surfaces are always changing and I have zero desire to make common objects and images. By that I mean I intend for the work to be challenging, contemplative and even disagreeable at times. The expectation is that even I should be dumbfounded when I’m done with a painting. I am partial to asymmetrical beauty, irregularities and dissonance.
