Alexa Valles

Alexa Valles is a proud San Antonio cellist, teacher, and composer. She graduated from UTSA majoring in Music with an emphasis on Composition. When moving to the United States at the age of 10, Alexa began her musical career with the cello as her first instrument. She then went on to learn violin and piano.

Alexa is a dedicated performer and has had the opportunity to perform with various groups such as the UTSA orchestra, The public theater of San Antonio, Terra Vista Strings and overseas at the Upbeat/Uzmah International Summer Music School.

As a teacher, her goal is to adhere to each student’s individual goals, and offers private lessons + master classes to any students ready to learn how to express themselves through music.

Her compositions often take inspiration from multiple cultural genres to reflect her pride in coming from a multi-cultural background having grown up in Chihuahua, Mexico.
