Angel Moreno is a contemporary realist painter and draftsman based in San Antonio, TX. Born in Mexico City, he grew up admiring the works of the three giants of Mexican muralism; Rivera, Orozco and Siqueiros. His distinctive personal style emanates joy and peace and expresses the vibrant spirit and atmosphere of his culture. As a classically trained musician, he incorporates elements of music into his visual work to create rhythmic visual experiences that evoke emotional responses. He is currently working on his first series of oil paintings called Los Luchadores, an exciting and colorful body of work that marks the beginning of his professional career and the happiest moment of his life.
“As an artist, I have the responsibility to share what I have learned and to inspire others to see the world with different eyes. Art, as a universal language, has the power to unite people and to be the vehicle for positive change we need in our society today.”
