Angie Pardo is a contemporary artist based in South Texas whose work arises from necessity rather than habit. Working in cyanotype, drawing, and mixed media, they create pieces only when compelled by powerful emotional experience. Their imagery blends botanical forms, abstract patterns, and symbolic elements, carrying traces of fleeting moments that could not be ignored. Though the process is deeply personal, unpredictable, sprouting from perpetual metanoia, the results are consistently described as beautiful—artifacts of intensity that invite stillness, resonance, and reflection. Angie had the lucky opportunity to work among remarkable artists at Hausmann Millworks in 2023. Their work has been shown at Movement Gallery, Galeria E.V.A , and High Wire Arts. In 2024, Angie was one of several artists featured in the Limit Experience Project, an online series and collaboration created by Jessamyn Plotts and Muchacha Fanzine’s #20 Global Solidarity issue. ♡

Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

My work emerges from compulsion rather than routine. Today, through cyanotype, abstraction, organic forms, and recurring symbols, I navigate the tension between myth-making and close observation of nature. This differentiated perception and practice is not about explaining but about witnessing: capturing the raw force of a moment in form, color, and process.
