Annette Waddle is an artist living in San Antonio. The majority of her work consists of paintings and sculptures that draw the viewer into a faery realm. Her work is sometimes light and magical and other times deals with the harsh realities of grief and trauma. Annette works in all paint mediums but particularly enjoys watercolors and acrylics. Her sculptures are of fairy houses, made from clay she has made from scratch, and fairy doors and tiny fairies she plans to place around the city. In her free time she can be found in her garden with her giant rescue dog.

Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

I paint to live. I am autistic and paint to cope with the day to day realities of losing a child, often through faerie folk. I use watercolors, oils, and acrylics in my paintings, and I paint what I feel, though my models may vary.
