Anthony Prater is a Songwriter & Storyteller working in the Bexar/San Antonio area. He recently finished work on his first solo release, a 5 song historical concept EP titled EL CAMARON. The album explores the circumstances and emotions surrounding the case of Clemente Apolinar, the last man hanged at the Old Bexar County Jail in 1923. The EP was released on February 23, 2023.  Prater is also the Lead Singer/Guitarist for Irish Folk/Rock band THE NAGGINS Lead Singer/Rhythm Guitarist/Songwriter for Indie/Alternative Rock band HOTEL TORGO

Available for solo performances/guest speaking engagements. Full band performances with HOTEL TORGO or THE NAGGINS (Full Electric or Stripped Down Acoustic sets available).

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

I try not to force my songs into existence. Sometimes a song takes minutes to finish…other times the song takes months to complete. Some songs are autobiographical, some are works of fiction, some are a mixture of the two. Honesty Über Alles.
