Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

Drawing on childhood memories, Anthony’s current body of work reduces these recollections to the objects that triggered them—such as Jumex drinks, Valentina hot sauce, and a variety of Mexican-style candies and snacks. His enthusiasm for screen printed Pop Art emerges as he crops, colors, posterizes, and adds patterns to these familiar items, transforming them into vibrant, iconic representations. Each layer is hand-printed with carefully mixed inks, a process that Anthony has honed and curated over the years.
