She has been recognized in several publications, her art has won awards, and her work has been exhibited in galleries. She’s highly motivated and believes that creativity and the act of creation in itself is a form of resistance. She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and still resides there. Artist Statement of Work
Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):
I've been a multimedia artist and zinester working across painting, sculpture and collage mediums for over a decade now. My work is a culmination of my daily lived experiences, deeply informed by my identity as a queer Hispanic individual navigating chronic pain. By exploring the intersections of joy, human suffering, and resistance, I aim to process my own emotions on a deeper level while creating a space for genuine human connection with others through art.
