Artist Style: Music: Alternative Rock, Latin/Spanish, Pop, Tejano
Artist Medium: Audio/Sound
As a home recording artist and musician deeply rooted in the vibrant cultural landscape of San Antonio, I am committed to exploring the rich tapestry of sounds that have shaped our city's musical identity. My artistic journey encompasses a fusion of Hypnagogic pop and Tejano, celebrating the diverse heritage and influences that converge within our community.
Embracing the DIY ethos, I find inspiration in the process of crafting music that blurs the lines between genres, reflecting the eclectic spirit of San Antonio's musical heritage. Since 2015, I have embarked on a personal odyssey of sonic exploration, channeling my creative energy into a unique expression that I affectionately termed "gunk pop."
Two years ago, I realized a long-held dream of forming a Tejano band, giving birth to the ensemble known as Los Juanos. Through this project, I have found immense joy in sharing my passion for classic Tejano, grupera, and indie lo-fi with audiences both young and old. Los Juanos serves as a bridge between generations, preserving the essence of traditional Tejano while infusing it with contemporary sensibilities.
My mission is to continue fostering a sense of connection and belonging through music, honoring the cultural legacy of San Antonio while pushing the boundaries of artistic innovation. With every note and lyric, I aim to celebrate the past, present, and future of our city's musical landscape, uniting communities and inspiring creativity along the way. Through my dedication to authenticity, experimentation, and inclusivity, I aspire to enrich the cultural fabric of San Antonio and beyond.
