Baldemar Rodriguez

I’ve been playing music professionally for over 25 years.  I’ve played guitar for Tejano acts Los Chavalozz and Gary Hobbs and have supported country artists as well. Most recently I’ve taken to the microphone and have performed as an acoustic solo musician all over San Antonio and surrounding counties doing unique covers of old favorites and modern hits.

All through my career I’ve also done some songwriting that I’m ready to share. Growing up, I was exposed to the great American Songbook and have been influenced by many genres. My music reflects the diversity of the city’s roots of Mexican-regional, country, blues, rock, Tejano, Roots-Americana, or simply TEXICANA as I like to refer it. My hope is to release these songs as both; simple solo-acoustic and full band versions that showcases the sounds of San Antonio’s heartbeat of accordion, fiddle, and electric guitars.
