Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

I have spent my entire life studying many different art forms as a mutli-disciplinary artist. From my 13+ years in dance in my youth, to my college days as a music major, to my time in London studying audio engineering and digital music composition to my adult years as a fashion design & trend forecasting degree recipient from FIDM. This landed me a 12 year career as a digital fashion editor telling both the stories of others as a writer while making visually innovative online video content through filming, editing and music composition. Aside from becoming a fashion editor, this journey was 100% planned. Coming from a background of little to no guidance in high school, I remember taking a spiteful position of creating my own path in life and going against the notion that you have to choose "just one thing" to  be in life. I spearheaded a long term plan for myself, learning as much as I could, then settling in my later years as a general artist, combining every art form I master with the wisdom I hoped to picked up throughout my life's journey. Today, I combine fashion, music, digital filming, editing, and painting to express life the way I see it and sometimes how I wish to see it, whether it is commentary on the gritty underbelly of the world or something more optimistic, fun & happier. I use art as therapy to heal my traumas and tend to gravitate more towards positivity through contemporary expression and the philosophy that its best to make people laugh 'n' smile.
