Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):
Color functions structurally, not symbolically. I'm not illustrating ideas or constructing narratives. I'm establishing visual facts, relationships of hue, weight, and space that exist on their own terms.
Working intuitively and in layers, I pursue the full play of color, its tensions, harmonies, and surprises. This is where I find freedom. The unpredictability of nature guides me, how forms interact, how balance shifts, how resolution arrives unexpectedly.
The work resists explanation. It asks only for attention.
After 36 years of painting and printmaking, I still believe the canvas can do something language cannot. It can simply be.
