Chris Ramirez

Chris Ruptive has been playing drums since 1998, as a self taught musician. He has performed with several bands over the last two decades ranging from punk, to heavy metal, to conjunto, and everything in between. Chris Ruptive has toured the world with Tex-Mex Punk band Piñata Protest, bringing tejano culture to new audiences. While in his early days he enjoyed heavy metal, goth, and other hard styles, more recently Christ Ruptive has dedicated his time to studying traditional San Antonio folk music, including conjunto, tejano, cumbia, and tex-mex.
