Christopher Cantoya
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. After attending college in Nebraska I moved to Austin because of its art, music and fashion scene. I was involved in fashion show production, styling and photography. I moved back to San Antonio in 2010 and pursued fashion and event photography work. I photographed more than 100 local fashion shows and events. I was also published in over 20 different local and international publications. I was nominated for fashion photographer of the year for Texas fashion week in 2019 and 2021. In 2020 I took art classes from MoMA so that I could start pursuing fashion art projects. I have created both photo and mixed media art collections that showcase my heritage, style and culture.

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):
- Most of my photography is about capturing moving moments during events that help preserve the memory for years to come. It could be a fashion show, music concert or sports event . Magic can happen during the game or the before the show, you never know. As a photographer I try to find moments that magnify the moment and the humans that make the world more interesting more enjoyable more positive place to live in.
