My drawings always begin as intimate sketches usually done in museums. Each drawing provides a skeleton to improvise on in the next work in an ongoing potentially endless process. Because I seek inspiration from man’s place in nature and biology, I like to work in museums. I have direct access to their collection and get input and encouragement from visitors. There is also an element of performing live which enriches the art making experience.
