My name is Dante Schwebel-Vela, and I live in San Antonio, Tx. I am born and raised in Laredo and have been living in San Antonio since 1998. I have been a professional musician for over 20 years. My main instrument is the guitar, however I play percussion, keyboards, bass, and produce my own material in my home studio. My influences vary from traditional Rock n Roll, Soul and R&B, to regional norteño, tejano and conjunto styles. I enjoy combining influences from different genres to create fresh new sounds and songs. I have toured the world several times over working for artists such as City and Colour from Canada, Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys, Dr. Dog, My Morning Jacket, Blues artist Robert Finley, and many many more. I have also created my own projects and bands that would go on to perform and reach audiences nationally and internationally. Bands I’ve created in the past include Hacienda from right here in San Antonio, Spanish Gold, Rumba Shaker, and Nuevo. I have had the great fortune of performing at festivals and stages all over the world including Coachella Festival, Austin City Limits, Bonaroo, Lollapolooza, Reading and Leeds festicval in England, Big Day out in Austrailia and many others. I also was lucky enough to be featured on programs like Late Night with David Letterman, Late night with Conan O’brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and more. I am simply a rock n’ roller who refuses to quit.

Musically, I am forever in debt to The Beatles. They are the blueprint for how I began making music. Rock n' roll without convention or limitation. I believe the best music is the kind that comes from the soul. It is noticeable when music is inauthentic. The are several ways to get to the other side of the wall. You can scale, I will always choose to break through it.
