Emily Pickert

Emily is a San Antonio-based artist who graduated from the University of Alabama 2017 with a degree in Nonprofit/Arts Management.​

She works with a variety of media to experiment with her true love – texture. The goal is always to tempt the viewer to touch something that is not allowed to be touched, whether that’s with thread, paper, fabric, or an illusion the eye creates. Sometimes this takes form in figurative work, others in abstract. Always there is a sense of inspiration from the Impressionist movement and an emphasis on color.
