Born in Andrews, Tx. Grew up in the 4 corners area in New Mexico. Have been creating ever since i could remember. Early art influences from the silver and beadwork of the Navajo people and the paintings and carvings of the spanish colonial heritage, as well as the landscape. My use of color and mix of materials, as well as ideas, idols, words and images from the mexican culture in texas, is all represented through my work.

Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

I love creating pieces from found objects and taking those objects and repurposing it into something totally different. My work in any media usually has both a feminine and masculine side to it. I like to represent both sides as well as blur the lines. I also love texture. And the idea of transformation, as represented through masks.
