My name is Gabriella Renteria, I am an emerging young artist. I am currently attending the University of the Incarnate Word; working on to receive my Bachelor’s of Art in Art, with a minor in Art History. Art has always been a passion of mine since I was young; I always had a creative mindset. When creating a new work, I always paint from the heart. When showing my work, I would want my audience to escape reality and enter in a fantasy.

Artist Statement of Work
Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):
Majority of my work revolves around fictional and non-fictional; let just say I am a complete daydreamer. My inspiration come's from songs I listen to or fantasy drama show's I love to watch; I enjoy creating new stories and bringing them to life on canvas. If I'm not painting a fantasy, I usually paint portraits of people (families or friends). My work mainly consist of realism, my medium I work with is oil paint; I may work with acrylic, but prefer oil.
