I have designed products, patents, fabrics, packaging, catalogs and media for twenty years. My creativity was at the mercy of trends, industry standards, investors, buyers, balance sheets and supply chains. I want to free my art now. Let it chase the wind. I am living a new chapter of my life where true love, real friendship and ass-kicking adventure are my comrades. I had many years that were stuffed into boxes and I am releasing them on to the canvas now.

Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

I was born to create, yet question art itself. Is it a rebellious act? A dream? A language heard but unspoken? An escape to find an ideal world? For me, artistry captures your soul and takes you on a ride. I do not like to rely on a type of subject or style, but there is no denying that the imagery that surfaces in my art captures a moment of eternal bliss and simplicity. I am certainly not limited to this approach and seek to satisfy the quench of my imagination, which seems to be its own demanding master. My hand and brush are the vessels and my imagination takes over the space. I am removed. On the outside, life is hard edges and hard lines defined by levels of dense mass, but life is not lived like that. Inwardly, life is not rigid. It is messy and unlimited. It flows, like energy with no boundaries, no lines to keep the colors inside. Emotions float. Love dances. Fear vibrates. Doubt squeezes your spirit and peace is a warm internal blanket. My art reflects these layers and colors of the soul, the essence of timelessness It is a decadent party, a romance novel and a harbinger of heaven and hope. And there are no hard lines there.
