I am a Songwriter, Rapper Recording artist with a passion for creating music. Especially rap music because it empowers me to fight for what I believe I deserve. My work is influenced mostly by female and male rap. I am also a queer artist, a gay male rapper born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):
I’m a creative person, with a passion of expressing myself to my fullest capacity. Over 2 years of writing and recording, a year and a half performing from drag shows, talent shows, clubs, bars, festivals.
As of now I’m working towards a full body project, my Debut Album / EP. It has a concept, a theme. It’s about how my life experiences as a gay male growing up dealing with diversities from family, life , and other personal experiences. Envy and Jealousy played a huge part of my life, being envied my people closets to me, they caused harm to me and so it stunted my growth as a person and as an artists. Although this didn’t stop me, my album will explain how empowering it made me to hold all my wisdom and passion contained, till i bursted out with action, I couldn’t bare to stay away from what i loved, producing concepts, directing concepts, creating music and turning it into meaningful ART.

\"Envy\" by Lovingmerex ; is my Latest single that i wrote, this song talks about my personal experience being in a one sided relationship. Ever heard the quote, \"You\'re sleeping with the enemy\". In the song i portray to be singing in opposition to the protagonist (which is me) singing that i want a part of you, or life you live, the light i follow inside myself, my sun sign in \"Leo\". Wants to be taken from me by said opposition / (ex partner) which i respond in the last verse, fully aware of how they truly feels towards me and still saying things that empower me so if, and or anyone that goes against me, that verse reminds them and myself that i will always stand up for myself and most importantly that i couldn\'t possibly ever stop \"loving..me\" -Rex.

\"Bounce back\" by Lovingmerex ; is my 2nd latest single that i wrote on my own, a Rap record, in the song i use my words to empower myself and my sexuality. i use Double Entendres to drastically speak my triumphs, but also feeling confidence within my own body. Lines for example: \"That boy only want me for my, Bounce back\" ,\" \"Yeah, i bounce back like i always do every season!\" these lyrics are bold, as a rapper and artist i enjoy making things sound like one thing but it really has way more meaning to it. Bounce Back was actually my first solo record to be Professionally done in a booth with quality equipment, from Beat Production to Vocals.
