The Hip Tones Trio is an upbeat, party Blues band from San Antonio, Tx. We take old school Blues, Rock, and Soul songs and put a modern bluesy twist to them. Our music definitely carries a groove for people who love to dance to the Blues beat. We bring that magic that you can find at juke joints and roadhouses in cities such as Memphis, Chicago, New Orleans, and Austin. You want something different than the standard Tejano and Country that dominates our area then look to the Hip Tones!

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):
The Hip Tones Trio is composed of 3 experienced local musicians. We perform for events where people are having fun and celebrating life. We provide a mix of popular and not so commercialized blues, classic rock, and soul. We take classic blues, rock, and soul songs and put a modern bluesy, funky groove to them. We research our venues and select our music to appeal to the tastes of the patrons that customarily go there. We hope many of our San Antonio neighbors get a a chance to see and hear us us at their favorite pub, bar and grill, or BBQ watering hole.
