As the owner of De La Rosa Designs, I bring extensive experience as an artist, designer, engineer, and educator with a strong commitment to sharing my craft and inspiring others. I invite you to participate in engaging and educational experiences where we can explore creative processes together. My background is both diverse and deep, underpinned by a passion for teaching and the art of crafting.
With over five decades of professional experience as a seamstress and a degree in fine arts, I specialize in producing unique, custom pieces through my proficiency in various crafts, including crochet, knitting, and pattern making. My work has been recognized with numerous awards for sewing techniques, artistry, and meaningful engagement within the community among both children and adults.
I am dedicated to knowledge sharing, supporting individuals at all skill levels—whether you are new to the field or seeking to enhance your expertise, exploring the expansive world of sewing and DIY projects.
My specialization includes developing samples for fashion and accessories lines, pattern, prototype development, and executing final designs for marketing purposes.
I am experienced with a wide range of fabrics, from transforming materials into finished pieces to creating custom textiles. Fiber artistry remains one of my core strengths within this discipline.

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):
I am a true believer that artist need to pass on their talents. Sewing is my forte, so I teach all aspects of this art. I can and have taught, pattern reading, fabric sourcing, how to use your sewing machine, along with other aspects of the craft. Embroidery, crocheting, knitting, dyeing, painting on fabric, 3D fabrication with fabric, burning fabric, and any aspect that can be done with a sewing machine or hand sewing.
I believe that the more you do, and in this case, the more you practice your craft; the more experienced you become. With that, patience is part of this craft, along with confidence.
Making my students understand that taking pride in your work is first and foremost essential ingredient on becoming a successful artist.
