I am a pen and ink artist who has an extensive portfolio of subject matter from realistic images to graphic pieces.
My work has found homes with Robin Williams estate, Dr. Patch Adams, Arthur C. Clarke estate, former President Carter, Pete Townshend, Sting, Roger Daltrey, former basketball coaches Pat Riley and Phil Jackson, Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, Jackson Art Museum, Tougaloo College, Virginia Baptist Hospital, etc. I take pride in the depth and detail of each drawing. I am often asked, “how long did that drawing take you?” The honest answer is: I do not know time when I am creating a piece. My process is, a) consider an image or the commission’s piece, b) lay-out in charcoal pencil, c) begin the initial ink linework, d) introduce cross-hatching for the purpose of drawing depth, and e) add color to the creation.
