Hello, my name is Jessica Arrington Garcia,

I was born in Virginia in the mid 80s I was lucky to grow up and play outside.  As a child I spent much time in the woods with nature, creeks, plants, animals, clay, dirt, rocks & trees.  Moving to Texas as a teen was quite a culture and nature shock.  As the environment was completely different, yet still fascinating.  I’ve always felt close to nature and the natural world.  My artwork is inspired by nature, water & life.  I pay attention to the small things and big. The texture on a pedal or leaf, the height of a giant tree, the colors, the design of Mother Nature.  The way the weather interacts and changes the environment throughout the seasons.  I’ve always been interested in multi mediums.  From paint to clay to glass to paper collage & paper-mâché using natural materials as well.  Capturing nature on film and digital photography.  I enjoy pointing things out that maybe missed by the normal viewer.  Focusing on what makes nature, so mystic & beautiful.
