Jessica Hawkins

  • I am Jessica Hawkins. I was born and raised on the East Side of San Antonio. I am a product of inner city schools and an alumni of UTSA with a BA in Mexican American Studies. My time at UTSA sparked my interest in organizing and volunteering. I enjoy volunteering within San Antonio’s non-profit sector and fighting for women’s rights, reproductive justice, and equal rights for the LGBTQ.

Gacho Marx is my drag king alter ego. Gacho is ‘La Voz de Los Mentirosos’, San Antonio’s Premier Latinx Drag King Troupe.  Gacho is a San Anto fresa who respect his father, idolizes his mother, and loves his hair. Los MENtirosos’ focus is to create space for drag kings in San Antonio, allowing kings to express their creativity through the art of drag. Los MEN love their community and promote body positivity, reproductive justice, and individuality in all of their projects.

Nacho Marx is the alter ego to Gacho Marx and is co-creator and host of Drag King Bilingual Story Time con Los Mentirosos.
