Joël Dilley

Reclusive composer Joël Dilley––deemed “el Solitario” by a renowned poet and “the walking question mark” by his agent––produces music licensed by HBO, Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Food Network, and more. Recent projects include Wall in the Desert, benefitting the Interfaith Welcome Coalition; Gracia, scheduled for release in September 2022; The Gospel Truth, inspired by the proliferation of conspiracy theories in the U.S.; and ongoing collaborations with experimental writers and filmmakers. Co-founder of co-op indie label Dragon Lady Records, he spends most of his time in the recording studio with his spouse, songwriter/musician Bett Butler, and their dog Mingus.
