In addition, John brings a diverse and extensive twelve-year commercial portfolio. Based in San Antonio, he splits his time between Texas and Los Angeles, California.

Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

I am a San Antonio based photographer and videographer. I specialize in honest, unrefined portraiture that captures the authenticity of a subject through unconventional techniques such as harsh, single-point lighting. My striking work is unique compared to commonly overproduced, filtered and AI edited popular media images. Similarly, my filmmaking unapologetically explores hardships of marginalized individuals through gritty and provocative cinematography.
