My films range in their respective style and subject matter, however each story is told with the same dedication and attention to detail. With my first two student shorts, I took a look at characters that were irredeemable in nature and had no chance at redemption. Focusing on characters that are truly immoral is very interesting to me, as I don't offer them a chance of redemption - the consequences of their actions catch up to them too quickly (or, quicker than they realize).
Because no two projects are the same, neither are the themes that come with each film. Regardless, it's important to me that I'm able to connect with my actors in a way that can bring out their best possible performances. Most of my actors and I are already friends beforehand, so this is not a challenge for me. In my experience with filmmaking, I have fallen in love with the pre-production process, and the natural collaboration that comes with it. I have met countless friends for life through filmmaking. These connections have helped elevate my projects, and I take pride in fostering a community of creativity and productivity on my film sets.
