JP Goggin is an avid fiction writer and retired Naval Aviator living in San Antonio, Texas, with his family. He’s a graduate of the University of Texas (Austin) Creative Writing Program, the Antioch University – Los Angeles MFA Program (Creative Writing – Fiction), as well as an adjunct professor at Northwest Vista College, teaching Creative Writing, English Lit, and Composition.
JP’s stories most often fall within the speculative fiction genre. He’s most interested in the way technology inflects social, political, and personal systems of belief, and he gravitate toward narratives that attempt to reframe accepted yet flawed ways of viewing the world.
His work has appeared in Reflex Fiction, Flashflood Magazine (as part of National Flash Fiction Day 2021), Versification Magazine, Fifty-Word Stories, Moondottir Magazine, Prospectus, and elsewhere. He’s currently at work on his first novel, and coffee is his favorite junk food.
