His assorted work has dealt with earthly elements– earth through his gardens featured in the New York Times Magazine; salt from his travel grant work in Europes salt mines; glass through his numerous marbles, drinking glasses and sculpture; light through his photography, and assorted other media. He is the caretaker and artist-in-residence of the Hot Wells Hotel ruins. He is the owner of FL!GHT Gallery, a San Antonio artistic institution for 23 years and running. Everything is part of it. I like to work within all mediums available to me to accomplish the vision at the time for whatever project is at hand. I love making large scale works, public art, and also drinking glasses and objects such as marbles that could spark a conversation or a change in someone's day. Often some of my most favorite work is making something functional for people to use or observe in their everyday lives.
