My art is a spiritual communion, a way to honor the divine, my ancestors, and the transformative power of healing. Each piece I create is a prayer of gratitude, a release of burdens, and a celebration of the connection between our past, present, and future.
The Remnants is born from a time when my spirit was heavy with pain, shaped by intimate partner violence and substance abuse. This piece holds the ashes of my letters to God—written cries burned as an act of surrender and release. It represents my journey of letting go, of transmuting pain into strength, and of finding light in the darkest moments.
Rocky, created in honor of my late grandfather, reflects my deep connection to those who came before me. My grandfather, a painter, was the source of much of my creative spirit, and through this piece, I pay tribute to his legacy and the ancestors who are woven into the fabric of my DNA. Rocky is a celebration of their wisdom, resilience, and the enduring imprint they leave on our lives.
For me, art is sacred—a bridge between the physical and spiritual, pain and peace, self and community. It is my offering to the world, a way to honor the interconnectedness of all life and inspire others to find their own healing and truth.

This piece is a sustainability piece, I used things that were about to be discarded such as a jar of wine corks, twine, old pieces of styrofoam and magnets to hold the piece on a painted canvas, in case the viewer would like to wear it. It has a mirror as an interactive aspect for the viewer, showing their reflection as if they were wearing the headdress. The indigenous headdress is a war bonnet and is a symbol of leadership, cultural identity and personal accomplishments with the tribe.
