Laura Marie is an independent pop-folk and indie-folk songwriter, author, and music business mentor. She is an Independent Music Award winner and BMI artist/publisher with music licensed to TLC, M Cable Television Inc., and Bunim/Murray Productions through various publishers including Discovery Networks Music Publishing and Human Factor Publishing. Her book Too Sweet: Songs for Setting Boundaries is a memoir that chronicles her life as a trauma survivor in the music industry. As a mentor, she focuses on helping creatives reach their potential by identifying and working past unhealthy patterns and music industry obstacles.

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):
I've been a writer and performer in the music business for 25+ years and I'm still discovering new ways to be me in it. My main focus in creating music is self-discovery and my passion is helping people connect to their truth through the art of music whether as an audience member or as a music creator.
