Letty Martinez
My name is Letty Martinez and I’ve been singing and writing music for over 15 years. I was in an all-women punk band name Angela and the X’s in the Rio Grande Valley for about 6 years before moving to San Antonio, TX and joining the band Fea as the lead vocalist. Fea was founded in 2014 and is currently signed to Joan Jett’s record label, Blackheart Records. We have opened for/toured with national and international acts such as Babes in Toyland, L7, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Against Me, Agent Orange, Subhumans, and more. We have also played music festivals like Dave Grohl’s Cal ,Warped Tour 25th Anniversary, and will be playing Punk Rock Bowling Las Vegas in May of 2023. Fea also wrote lyrics/music for the play ‘Fabulous Monsters’ which premiered at The Cellar, San Antonio Public Theater in March of this year! We have had the honor of working with Lori Barbero (Babes in Toyland), Laura Jane Grace (Against Me!), and the chicana punk legend, Alice Bag (The Bags) as they were the producers of our past albums. We are currently in the process of writing our 3rd original album and plan on getting to the studio soon!

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):
We are an all-female Chicana punk band with a mission to spread inclusivity and promote acceptance to all individuals regardless of race, gender, or sexuality. We proudly support and represent the city of San Antonio as well as our heritage in hopes to inspire other women/girls to do the same!
