Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

Jimenez's work is motivated by fear, fear of god, demons, and people. Her art consists of bold line work, using red and black color pallets to accentuate her distress. She primarily uses linoleum printing as her medium but is starting to experiment with mixed media such as chains, beadwork, and leather. Through her artwork, she hopes to understand why the fears in her life direct her behavior more than logical reasoning and give the fear a physical form to confront the issue in reality.
