LoneStar Afro Dance Crew is a San Antonio-based performance team rooted in African rhythm and powered by Texas boldness. We fuse Afrobeat, Afro House, and street-pop movement into performances that feel like celebration, storytelling, and community all at once. Our goal is simple: create moments where culture is not just watched—it’s felt.
On stage, we deliver high-energy, crowd-friendly sets for festivals, cultural celebrations, showcases, and city events. Our style is dynamic, rhythmic, and accessible, with choreography that highlights musicality, precision, and personality. When the event calls for it, we add an interactive component—inviting the audience to learn a short combination and experience the joy of moving together.
Off stage, we serve as teaching artists through youth workshops and school/community programs. Participants learn foundational Afro grooves, timing, coordination, and choreography, while also building confidence, teamwork, and stage presence. We treat dance as a leadership tool—helping young people show up with courage, discipline, and self-belief.
Our artistic mission is impact through movement. We uplift African culture in the heart of Texas and build bridges between communities—through joy, rhythm, and connection. We are available for performances, workshops, residencies, and collaborations statewide and beyond.
